The Remote Serial Interface is used to control external peripheral equipment such as boom gates and traffic lights. The interface consists of 8 inputs and 8 outputs, allowing up to four dual aspex traffic lights and four boom gates to be controlled from a single unit.


The eight inputs provided can be used to interface to external sensors such as photo electric vehicle position sensors and external push buttons.
